I am looking for the service records of two members of the Royal Navy
[1]Edwin Sutton gunner Killed aboard HMS Mars 1902 in an explosion off the Irish coast.
[2]Arthur Lawrence Sutton lost at sea from the HMS Hampshire 1916
I have tried the N.A site but to no avail, I have used this site before, with some success but not this time. I would be gratefull for a little help please.

You don't give any clues as to dates of birth, but a service record for one Arthur Lawrence SUTTON, born 22 September 1890 in Portsmouth, can be downloaded from the National Archives' Documents Online (http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/documentsonline/details-result.asp?Edoc_Id=6956564&queryType=1&resultcount=22). Is that your man?

Many thanks Kerrywood, yes that was the one. Unfortunatly there is a whole piece missing from his record. I downloaded the document you found for me, then had a go myself and found him.No luck with Edwin Sutton though,I think his date of birth was about 1868 and he was killed in a gunnery explosion aboard H.M.S Mars in 1902 I'm looking for some information about his Naval service before that. If you can help again that would be great.
Thanks again nancyt

The 1901 census (RG13/981 f68 p3) shows Edwin to have been born in Deptford, Kent, using this snippet I searched for his service record....

Try clicking on this link (http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/documentsonline/details-result.asp?Edoc_Id=6887909&queryType=1&resultcount=28) to download his service record
