Have you tried the Liverpool (http://www.british-genealogy.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=94) or Lancashire (http://www.british-genealogy.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=91) forums - there may be more knowledgeable people there

Rather than repeat the post elsewhere, kymberlynn, all you have to do is ask for a Mod to move this thread to Liverpool or Lancashire.

That way, replies will not be duplicated. ;)

To find a baptism in Liverpool, you first need to know the name of the church where it took place. GENUKI shows how many churches there are in Liverpool. http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/LAN/Liverpool/
And you need to know what denomination the family were. Mainly CofE churches are indexed on the IGI. http://www.familysearch.org/eng/Search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=igi/search_IGI.asp
Some Roman Catholic births are indexed on the Hibernia website. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~hibernia/index.htm

If you do not find your ancestor on these sites, then the only way to find them will be to go to Liverpool library & trawl through all the baptism registers at all the churches in the hope of finding your ancestor. I suggest that you are unlikely to find anyone willing to do such a mammoth task for you.
