I have not yet gone through the full set but I was lucky enough to find a full biography of one of the associated characters in my family tree that has lead me to possibly the original country of my own branch

Do you get a page with a search box?

Change the search criteria in the drop down box from "Word(s) anywhere" to "Title word(s)"

Enter "The Gentleman's Magazine" in the search box, using quote marks.

# 20 of the search results should be

The Gentleman’s magazine.
with the words Journal Digital Resource underneath the title.

The right hand column should have a link called
"Online links to individual volumes"

Click on this link & you should go to a page where all the volumes are listed with links called "Hathi Trust Digital Library Full Text"

I could swear that when I tried the original link yesterday, the link was to the final page in my description (the Hathi Library links page).

Had a heck of time finding it today. Perhaps a link expired overnight.

well they do say computers are like women (only thier maker knows thier internal logic)

That Mrin site bears further investigation, they seem to have a comprehensive library of victorian publications, I recently came across a reference to another book that was listed as being held by this library
