I've run into a bit of a snag and I'm looking for some options to consider. I'm descended from the family of Thomas Parry b 1826 Llanrhaiadr and Jane Thomas b 1829 Llanrhaiadr who were married May 25, 1849, St. Cedwyn, Llangedwyn, Denbigh. their fathers were Thomas Parry and Thomas Thomas respectively and the witnesses were Robert Owens and Harriet Parry.
Thomas and Jane had 6 children who were:
Mary born 1851 Llanrhaiadr
Robert born Mar. 20, 1853 Llanrhaiadr (my great grandfather)
Jane born 1855 Llanrhaiadr
Harriet born 1856 Llanrhaiadr
Thomas born 1858 Llanrhaiadr
Catherine born 1860 Llanrhaidr
In the 1861 Wales census Ref RG/9/4293 I have all of the above.
In the 1871 Wales census Ref RG/10/5633, daughters Mary, Jane and son Robert had left.
In the 1881 Wales census Ref Rd/11/5499 only the father Thomas born 1826 and daughter Jane remained as the Parry household.
I have found the father Thomas b 1826 died 1906 and the mother Jane b 1829 died 1862
Their daughter Jane b 1855 died 1900.
Their son Robert b 1853 d 1927. I have his complete family.
Due to the fact I'm looking for Parrys in Wales and England I'm having a very difficult time to find the following:
*Mary b 1851 can't find if she got marriage or death record.
*Harriet b 1856 can't find if she got marriage or death record.
*Thomas b 1858 can't find if he got married marriage or death record.
*Catherine b 1860 can't find if she got marriage or death record. Although, in 1883 I did find a Catherine Parry who married either Evan Jones or Henry Jones in a Civil ceremony in Llanfyllin. I'll have to order a marriage cert for that.
There are so many Mary, Harriet, Thomas and Catherine Parrys.
If you are wondering why I'm looking for more Parrys in this family it's because I was given a picture of one of my uncles in WW2 with relatives. The problem is no one alive knows who are the relatives!! So far I've been mainly looking at Denbigh and Montgomery in Wales and Shropshire in England. I've also checked the LDS with no luck.
If anyone has any knowledge of the family or area I would look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you.
