Hello scribes,Can anyone give me help on the above burials,which I am just about to start.

1. uxr
2. puer abort = boy stillborn or aborted,but would Willim Satterthwt be the child or the father.

3. uxp xpo comes up on another burial.


anyones help on these questions would be gratefully received,

uxr is an abbreviation of uxor, meaning wife.

Looking at the year - yes! The wife's name was often not considered important enough to be mentioned....

I think your uxr xpo is the wife of Christopher. I'm sure I've seen Xpo as an abbreviation for that name, in the same way that we use Xmas for Christmas.

Thanks Salcat,I thought that must be the case,i've seen it come up twice in the place where the forename is,so it's gone in as Xpo.
