Jane and John Frampton - Frome St Quintin

This is a mystery. Jane Frampton born 1830 in Frome St Quintin. Two sons: Charles born about 1848 and John born 1850/51. All listed in the 1851 census in FSQ - living with her mother, Sarah. In 1861 Charles is still in FSQ but lodging with Anne and William Thomas. Jane and John have disappeared. No burial records for them and I have completely failed to find them anywhere. I thought she may have married John's father but no searches have found that as a possibility. If anyone has come across these two I would love to know. Thanks.

There is a Jane Frampton Christened 8 AUG 1830 Froome St. Quinton, Dorset, England. Her parents are John Frampton and Sarah. This is an extracted record so it should be reliable

Looks like Jane had older sisters Harriet Frampton Christened 21 OCT 1827 Froome St. Quinton, Dorset, England, Maria Frampton Christened 9 NOV 1823 Froome St. Quinton, Dorset, England, Susanna Frampton Christened 6 OCT 1816 Froome St. Quinton, Dorset, England

Thanks for your replies and your interest. I have all the information on this family up to 1851 and beyond except for Jane and her son John. Also why did she leave her elder son Charles behind? Any help with this part of my Frampton jig-saw would be so much appreciated.

There is one in the 1861 census but her birthplace is given as Melcombe Regis - which is about 30 miles away - and she is down as married - so it doesn't look as though that is the right one but thought I'd put it up anyway.

Having had another look at the 1851 census - are you sure that Charles and John are the children of Jane. The head (mother Sarah) had a son Charles, who looks to be married to an Eliza - and in the 1861 Charles and Eliza are living in FSQ with a son John (plus various other children)
