Just discovered a possible bizzare connection between two people in my tree.
It looks like my 2xg grandmother's half sister was married to a man whose brother's son's wife's sister's husband's brother was married to her daughter, my great grandmother.
But don't quote me.

Try bringing that up at a family party, and watch the eyes glaze over; but on here it's a fantastic find, well done you. :D

That's wonderful to have managed to find the connection - if somewhat bizarre and confusing! |hug| Great job Janice!

I had to read that several times and very slowly....and then draw a diagram!
I guess it could be called 'a loop' in your tree...a branch that sort of flipped round and joined up with the trunk again.

How on earth did you find that out?! I wonder if they were aware of the connection. Perhaps it's more obvious than it sounds.

My Great Grandfather's brother and Great Grandmother's sister married 1st cousins. Talk about keeping it in the family. I always suspected there was some connection but it took several years to prove it as Great Grandma's brother-in-law was a "mystery man", who first appeared on the 1881 Census aged 19!
Congrats! Such a good feeling to finally find the connection!
