I have found on the 1861 census details of lots of boys who were boarding in Peascod Street Windsor. It would appear they all were pupils at a school. Does anyone have any knowledge of this. Bettyanne

There are some pictures of Peascod Street at the Royal Windsor Website. Search Peascod Street then click on "Windsor on our then and now series". I haven't searched for the actual school on the site.

A couple of places that you could try:
Berkshire Family History Society (berksfhs.org.uk/) and the Berkshire Records Office (http://www.berkshirerecordoffice.org.uk/)

1. What does the census say about the establishment? Was it there in 1851 and 1871? What does it say in those years?
2. Search trade directories for more.
