Hi
I have a relative who was a churchwarden in Rowley Regis in 1621/22. Is there anyway I can find out which church it was?

Thanks

Sometimes, one might find reference to Church Wardens in the original Parish Registers (not transcripts). The Church at that time would probably have been St Giles - details of the whereabouts of the PR's is on this page:
http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/STS/RowleyRegis/index.html#ChurchRecords

However you will notice that they are fire damaged.
The LDS Family History Centre has the records on film, which you would be able to view at your nearest centre.

It seems unlikely that there would be more than one church in Rowley Regis at that time. By the way, churchwardens are not clergy as I can state from personal experience!!

Most definitely only one!

According to GenUKI there was some fire damage. You'll need to ask the record office what records they have. You'll be wanting more than just the registers if you want to research this man.

Thanks for your help, I thought it may be St Giles as it seens to be the only church mentioned in Rowley Regis around the time.
