Hello,

We're doing some digging for a friend. Her g-grandfather Godfrey Fitzhugh of Plas Power in Flintshire was born 1873 and killed in action in 1917 (aged 44). He served in WWI with the Montgomeryshire Yeomanry, attached to 25th Royal Welch Fusiliers.

Would anyone be able to do a look up of the QSA and KSA medal rolls for us to see whether he served in the Boer War too?

Many thanks,

Nog

Many thanks, Finbar - that looks as if it could indeed be our man.

And thanks for putting this across to the Boer War forum, Jan. I'm still learning my way around here, I'm afraid. ;-)

It looks like there may be other mentions of him in the Gazette (http://www.london-gazette.co.uk/)
