Stepney Limehouse Middlesex or London

when did stepney limehouse and the eastern ed of Commericial road blend into being London. It is confusing me greatly! I have purchased a directory form Archive CD books for 1851 but wonder if I have done the right thing?

although that is not the complete answer it does show the critical dates. As Hackney had been absorbed into London around 1889 then I imagine the same would apply to Stepney and Limehouse. :)
