It's just after half past three in the morning and I'm still plugging away.|snore|

Originally I had discounted (in my ignorance) the FreeBMD site as I wasn't searching correctly and coming up with no hits at all, but after reading threads on here I learnt from what others were saying - so thank you to everyone on here.

But feeling a tad emotional at finding someone on the FreeBMD site, I feel like I want to hug the translator "Knave", as he has just transcribed the birth of my great uncle James Pemberton born 1916 Bury, who I have been searching for for ages.

I have also found the marriage of my great aunt Edna Hodgkinson nee Pemberton (Bury 1927) and the marriage of my great-great grandparents Thomas Pemberton & Margaret Ann Holt (Bury 1870).

I can remember having similar feelings when I found the birth of one of my great grandfathers and just sat there looking at the entry for ages!

So, keep plugging away and you will find more, I am sure.

(Actually, as it is nearly 04:00am, you may be better off plugging tomorrow.... :o)
