friends:
i have found the family in the 1871 and 1881 census (with help from forum!). only mentions of emmigrating from ireland, not where. father and mother , michael and bridget mccarthy (mcarty, mccarty), born 1844 in irelend, mother in law , bridget born 1811 in ireland, daughter ann born ireland, 1862, sons william and patrick born 1870, 1872 in tredegar.
what is the best way to track them back to ireland? thanks, mike mccarthy , colorado, usa
