I am looking for William RUSSELL and his family, in the Stepney area.
His daughter Elizabeth married in 1842, and then William gave his occupation as 'sugar broker'. He had several children christened at St Marys Stepney from 1802 to 1823. His wife may have been called Elizabeth, and children were, John (born 1802) William (1808) Richard (1814) Elizabeth (1816) Sarah Dyer ( 1818) Edward (1821) Some of these may still have been living with their father in 1841 and 1851.

I am trying to establish where the family lived, where Willam and his wife were born, and to confirm his occupation.

If anyone could kindly look up these people I would be most grateful, as I cannot visit London to do the research myself.

Hi Sheila,

Did you know that if you have an LDS FHC near to you they can order in anything in their catalogue - which includes all the UK census and many parish registers.

Thanks Pam, I live in France and I know there is a LDS centre at Nice, but have not gone there yet as I am not sure how helpful a centre abroad can be with UK information - do you happen to know? Is there a charge normally for LDS orderong records? Sheila T
