Hello Listers
I am looking for info on Patrick DEVINE who died Dec 1896 in Manchester but I believe that he was born in Ireland, exact place unknown
He was killed in an accident whilst working for Manchester Corporation and there is lots of mention of him in various minutes of Highways Meetings but still need more info

His father was also called Patrick DEVINE

Regards
John

John

Approximately how old would the two Patricks be in 1891 - and do you know where they were living.

I have located on the 1891 Census a Patrick Devine aged 36 a lodger living in Manchester - but is the only one located in Mancester. Also lodging are his bridget aged 32 and son John aged 2 .

I have found this family in 1881 Census - which could be yours -

Hello Lottie
Please excuse me about my lack of information in my posting as I am new to this type of forum.

My patrick died in 1896 in Manchester following an accident leaving Bridget with children, this is the one you found on the 1891 census. His father was also called patrick according to his marriage cert. I have not gone further back at this stage

I have seen the other family in Rainford and hold it as a possible connection

Many thanks for taking an interest I appreciate your help
John
