Hi Everyone,
As read in an earlier thread by (dubie33) Eileen, I too have an ancestor that was sent to the Sale Industrial School. My G.G.Grandmother Margaret Watson resided there as an inmate in the 1881 census aged 11 years. The only information I have on her whereabouts directly before and after her stay at the school are her Birth Certificate (7 Jan 1870 Tong, Bradford), the 1871 census (still in Tong), and her Marriage Certificate (1890 Tong Church, Bradford). Her father James Watson and younger brother Johnathan b.1874 weren't present in the 1881 census. Margaret's mother Esther died whilst giving birth in 1876.
Could anyone help spread light on the situation?
Any help would be grateful.
Regards,
Peter.
