What sort of dates? Staff records for the Rhondda and Swansea Bay Railway are in RAIL 581 at The National Archives at Kew. The Railway was absorbed by the Great Western in 1922 and any employees at that time would also appear in the GWR staff records at RAIL264.

Have just looked at your Profile and see you are researching Bennett. Have we just been in e-mail contact? :D
Welcome to B-G!

Hello Sue, Yes we were in recent contact (hope I am doing this correctly as it is all new to me) The dates are roughly the early 1920's for the R & S B railway continuing on to the GWR. Areas are Neath, Briton Ferry, Skewen. Do not have correct dates

I know very little of Father.s working life other than that he was a signalman.I have a photograph of him dated 1912 in the uniform of the Rhondda & Swansea Bay Railway.
Later he was employed by the GWR also as a signalman. A date in his (only )diary states that he was taken on at the Felin Fran East box in March 1901. Passed exams for Head Inspector and Asstd. Superintendant , March 1931.
Presentation by Clifford **orton at Court Sart station , July 1931. Reason for this unknown.
I have his certificate from the St John Ambulance Assn. Briton Ferry 23rd March 1924. registered no. 988 A
He died in 1964
