Would anyone be able to help me find the ship, date, departure and destination ports for my great uncle Herbert Wiltshire, born 24/8/1895 Kington St Michael, Wiltshire and his sister Maud, born 23/6/1894 also in Kington St Michael. I know it was prior to WW1 as he came back with the CEF and it is believed that they were in their early teens and went out to find their fortunes.
Any information gratefully received.
Thanks
Andy

It appears they sailed on the Carthagenian from Liverpool, arriving Halifax 29 Aug 1912. Both are shown age 19. His occupation is farmer destined for Toronto. Her occupation is domestic (housework) destined for Halifax. I didn't check this site http://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/databases/passenger/001045-100.01-e.php but suggest you have a look. It isn't indexed so you have to scroll the images. I believe they show on page 6 of the ship's manifest.

Also check the 1911 census http://automatedgenealogy.com/index.html

Thanks John. They were at the top of Page 7. It is very hard to read all the details, even after copying to my computer. They lose detail as you move in.
But that is brilliant thank you.

Andy

Andy,

Obviously I wasn't thinking when I put the link for the 1911 census. Sorry.
