Sorry if this is in the wrong place but. Have been advised by a friend that the following are virus carriers if you get something with these names delete if you open them they will crash the main drive and if you send the message on to a friend it will do the same. It would appear that it's not apparent striaght away.

"dvorak@yahoo": "angel11"; "tewwtuler" and "sassybitch"

Hi, Richard
Don't panic - just keep your firewall and anti-virus software up-to-date and running at all times. If anything sneaks through, delete it immediately without opening. In my opinion, virus warnings cause more trouble and anxiety than actual viruses.
Here's some good basic advice -

Richard

Have you checked these 'viruses ' on a reliable Anti Virus Site

e.g. Norton's
http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/

http://www.vmyths.com/

I have and cannot locate detail of any of the them.

Before posting a warning it is a good idea to check your information, Hoaxes and Myths create more email havoc than viruses do.

I also support Mary's comments about keeping your Anti Virus and Internet Security programs updated.

[Hi There

Better to be safe than sorry, but it is pretty easy to spot a hoax virus.

They pretty much have the same format, ie ....

1. Warning comes from a reputable source (microsoft, IBM)
2. Trash your hard drive, or something equally as dire.
3. No known cure.
4. Tell all your friends

One of my jobs at work.... but I'll tell you. I'd rather tell 100 people about hoaxes, than have to deal will one of the real nasty ones.

A good anti-virus program and firewall will see you right. If you can afford a hardware router (approx £100 ) more the better.

Thanks for thinking to warn us, but the hoaxes thrive through propagation by the likes of you and I.

Regards

Russell

Russell and Co

Thanks for all your comments. I do have AVG and that hasn't let me down so I feel fairly safe. The only reason I posted this was to let everyone know.
