Hello, just signed up, being a great-granddaughter of Ellen Evans of Shifnal, and possibly Stockton aged 14, about 1881 census which lists her as a granddaughter of Sarah Pace of Cheswardine Lane, Stockton. The dates fit but no other proof as yet. Wondered if your Edgmond Evans are related? When I looked up Cheswardine a few weeks ago, a whole raft of someone's family history was found which leads back to Dol in Brittany. Suspecting a connection as I found myself there a few years ago, on a school trip with my son under very odd circumstances. Like one of those history novels! Liz

I'm afraid I don't have any info on Evans's other than my ones who lived in Edgmond (except for one marriage in Market Drayton in 1835). If you do find an Edgmond link do contact again.
