I am trying to locate ancestors in India with the surname Cream. The 'World Surname Profiler' suggests that there are a number of Creams in the Bombay area today. If anyone has any info regarding Cream's in the 1800's in this area of India I would be very grateful to have it!! Also any advice on how to trace ancestors in the Bombay area would also be much appreciated.
Many thanks, Roger |help|

Have you tried the India Office (British library) web-site, which has a search engine for its database (http://indiafamily.bl.uk/UI/)

Alternatively, enter FIBIS into a database and you may you may find some records on their site (FIBIS stand for Friends in British India Society)

Good luck, do remember to check for variant spellings.

If looking for a specific individual, do also try military births, marriages and deaths and possibly the WO97 and WO121 documents at TNA
