Where have you looked? Death certs? 1841/1851 census? Are we to assume from the marrioage date being "appx" that you don't actually have a record of the marriage?

Help us to help you.

There is a web site with an email address for St Peters Church (http://st-peters-church.wales.info/), Carmarthen.

Perhaps they can help you.

The IGI seems to have extracted the records for St. Peters.
Have you looked there (http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~hughwallis/IGIBatchNumbers/CountyCarmarthen.htm#PageTitle)?

With a name such as WILLIAMS, it seems to me that you will need to search the Parish Registers for yourself to see who stands out as a probable match for these family members. Registers are usually available at County Record Offices, who may be able to provide you with facsimile copies. The Local Family History Society may have published a research aid to assist you.

Parish Registers are basic buidling blocks to a family history and it is useful if you can familiarize yourself with them at an early stage.

I see this marriage on the FamilySearch IGI - as taking place at Saint Peter 17 Oct 1826. But is not an extracted marriage, being submitted by a member of the LDS. It needs to be treated with caution.

It seems odd that a matching entry does not appear in the extracted entries for Saint Peter in the IGI.

Looking at submitted entries for baptisms (which include birth dates) there seems to be two John and Elizabeth couples as the gestation periods for the children overlap. William Williams was born and baptised (Feb & April 1826) well before the October marriage - so he may even belong to the other couple having children.

You need to try and see the registers yourself.

It might also be useful to include your location in your profile - it makes it easier for persons to give appropriate advice. Someone in Australia will be given different advice than someone living in Wales.

In answer to your reply. I have not yet searched
through the death certs, will do so when I find location. Like wise not
personally searched census but a friend found the following in the 1841
census of Carmarthen town. Old Priory
John Williams 50 Ag lb
Elizabeth Williams 50
William Williams 15 son
Esther Williams 10 dau
Edward Williams 9 son
Rachel Williams 8 dau
The ages are just right but john's trade is now ag lab but these thing can change over the years. I did not apply for marriage record details due to the
death of my ancient computer. Thanking you again.
