In the 1901 census, my ggg grandfather's occupation was working for the 'local Asylum Board'. At the time he lived in Bromley. Have been tryng to find out about asylums in Bromley at that time without much joy. Can anyone help? I'd also like to try and find out a bit more about that job itself, what he would have been repsonsible for, was it a well paid job etc etc
