 Please tell me if Hampshire and Hamworthy are one in the same !!

FreeBMD shows a birth entry that matches name and year, but district shows as Wimborne, by clicking on Wimborne, it then tells me that it is borderline to Dorset and Hampshire.

1901 census shows birth place as Hamworthy.
1891 census shows birth place as Poole.

Hi There,

I live about half way between Wimborne and Hamworthy.

Hamworthy is part of Poole whereas Wimborne is a separate town. There only about 6 miles apart. Poole and Hamworthy are separated by about a 30m bridge which connects the Hamworthy peninsula to Poole.

Took a quick look at the 1881 census and see that there are Pamphill Jewers. For infor, this is about a mile north of Wimborne.

Regards

Russell
