If anyone has the 1851 census (Holborn) within easy reach, I'd be very grateful for a lookup of 24 Leather Lane. I'm searching for a family by the name of BIRTLES.

Found:
'Rich'd Birtles, Head, M, 73, b Cambridge'.
I can't make out his occupation, but I think it begins with J, possibly joiner, then another word and (Company).
'Lucy Birtles, Wife, M, 68, b (poss) Birmingham'.

That is it for no. 24.

Maybe if you have an idea what his occupation might be and her pob, I could see if they look like a match.

Hi Mark

Thanks very much for looking.

Lucy BIRTLES age 68 born Birmingham is just what I was expecting.

Richard BIRTLES occupation should be something like Printer, Compositor or something that suggests printing. I didn't know his age or birthplace.

Birthplace of Cambridge is a bit surprising - the surname came originally from Cheshire - ah well, this game is full of surprises!
Is there any chance you could send me the image? (if available). The email shown on my profile works (note the underscores!). Also could I trouble you for the full reference (piece/folio/page)?
