Bride's condition abbreviation

I've just come across something I've never seen before.
For Bride's condition it says - Soj

anyone have any idea what it could stand for? :confused:

Does it mean 'sojourner'? I take it to mean that she is in the parish but not a permanent resident.

thanks for your imput. I will try and check and see if she was from somewhere else. It might be a bit difficulty as the marriage took place in 1772.:D

Start with the surrounding villages/towns and work outwards.

You could also post the details on the appropriate county (http://www.british-genealogy.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=2) forum. That way, there may be someone else who has access to the records.
