I have been collecting all references to the Ba(t)che(l) surname. It is quite a rare name and mainly concentrated in Kent in the 1600-1800s, (with a branch migrating to London).

I have loads of info collected, such census pages and as Pre-1837 Parish register entries, but I'm not sure how best to organise everything.

I would appreciate any advice on managing the data so that it is easily searchable.

Custodian 3, the database software which helps you to store, index and organise the information you have gathered from all kinds of family history records.

You had better Google for it in case someone objects to me letting you know the URL.

The software is widely used in one-name studies.

Thanks Peter. I initially tried Excel, but could see that it would quickly become unmanageable!
