I was wondering if anyone could find the following family in the 1841 census.Thomas Heard (b1794), wife Elizabeth (b1790, I don't know her maiden name), sons Thomas (b1818), John (b 1822), George (b 1823), Robert (b 1833). Also daughter Elizabeth who married Thomas Halls around 1840. They were Bible Christians. Unfortunately I do not have an exact location but I am suspecting Hartland or Beaford. They emigrated to Canada aroun the mid 1840's. By 1852 they had settled in Lambeth, Ontario and were operating a wagon making business, so they may have been in that type of work in Devon. Any information would be appreciated.

Thank you Ann, I am sure that is the family. I had forgotten that they also had a daughter named Agnes.

There may be no connection.... I have a Mary Heard b1848 Lawhillan who married john Danning b 1838 North petherwin. What made me sit up when I read the previous messages was the mention of Bible Christians, because mine were married at the bible christian Chapel, Tower St, Launceston.
