Rumour of JEX Romany past

Maybe true maybe not but an older Jex has said that she know of stories as a child just after the war WW2 that the name JEX was associated with Romany Gypsies either married into or were actually Romany time 1800 to 1900 Norwich

Anybody know anything about this.

There were lots of gypsies in Norfolk so it is quite possible that a JEX married one of them. The name JEX and its variants occurs a lot in Norfolk over several hundred years so I think that it is unlikely that this is a travelling family.
