I am looking for any information on Arcibald Crawford , Colenel, H.M.Army. He had a son John Archibald Crawford, Major Royal Engineers, who was born around 1911. I cannott find any information on Archibald Crawford and don't know when he was born or where.

Colonel Archibald Crawford R.A.
He was Commandant of Artillery and Director of Ordnance, Egyptian Army and received the Order of the Nile from the Sultan of Egypt.

Working backwards on his Military career there is a Archibald Crawford at the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich. He was presented with a couple of prizes, one for landscape drawing and one for military topography.

If this is your man he was promoted Lieutenant R.A. March 4, 1881
