Does anyone have access to burial registers for St Giles, Balderton, Notts., after 1822. The N.B.I only goes up to 1822 and I want to search up to 1840 for the surname ISSOTT sometimes spelt (ISSETT).

Hope someone can help - I haven't been well and can't get to Nottingham at the moment.

Hi Lorraine

From the Notts FHS Burial Index for Balderton (all spelt ISSETT):

13 Feb 1822 - Thomas aged 30
20 Feb 1822 - Lucy aged 29, wife of Thomas
4 Nov 1823 - Sophia aged 34, wife of George

That's all!

Thank you so much - I thought there should be some more. I was looking for a Thomas and Ann Issott - they were the parents of Elizabeth, Thomas and George mentioned here. I think they were alive in 1816 but they obviously haven't shown up.

Thanks again
Lorraine

Couldn't see them anywhere in Notts, though I think there may be places that aren't included in the index yet. Nor could I find them in Lincolnshire (which is only a few miles away).

Thanks again Arthur - I think it would be Balderton although you never know! Is it the N.B.I you're looling at? What is the latest coverage for Balderton?

For Balderton and the rest of Nottinghamshire, I was looking at the Notts FHS Burial Index CD (latest version), which has Balderton burials 1813-1901. For Lincolnshire I looked at the NBI, which includes most Lincs parishes from 1813. However, Lincolnshire FHS have transcribed earlier burials in some parishes, and you can see what's available on their page (http://www.parishchest.com/shop/index.php?cmd=listlinkeditems&cat=D6958&breadcrumb=Family+History+Societies%2C+etc.:Lincol nshire+FHS) at Parish Chest.

Thanks for the information, Arthur - might be one of those cases that just can'y be found. Thanks again
