Hi
I believe my 2nd gt grandmother may have been in Upton Workhouse as a child in 1841.
Does anybody know whether there are any records of the workhouse in existance (other than census records); where they might be and how to access them?
Thanks
Sue

I would contact the Worcester Record Office and make enquiries about what they hold.

The workhouse birth register 1836-1866 has survived and is at the county record office.
For reasons that may or may not be obvious, workhouse births stood a very high chance of being officially registered and therefore included in the GRO indexes.

Thanks for those replies.
I believe she was born before 1836 though.
I'll email the record office. Thanks.

The only other records that might be relevant are the out relief documents 1836-1848.
