I am tracing a Richard Bell born circa 1811. I have found him on the 1871 census living in Greenwich as an Architect with his wife Caroline.
The children on the 1871 are:
Caroline b. 1846
Clarissa J. b.1856
Stuart R. b.1858
Frank P.1857
Zante Claude b.1861(no idea where this name came from!)
Stanley L. b.1863
I have not been able to trace any of these children, only an older child Russell Bertram who is my descendant. I found a Caroline Bell that ties in on the 1881 as a widow so I think maybe he had died. He was 41 in 1852 when they married (have cert).
I would really like to see if I can find him on the 1851 - Hackey is his place of birth on the 1871 census, his address on the marriage cert states The Strand & Carolines address Brighton. Parish of marriage St Martins in the Field.
I know the 61 is not indexed, but it would be great if anyone can find the couple on that census too.
