Hi, Just found a Lightfoot in my family today.

Mary eleanor Lightfoot married Edward Noble Robinson in 1874 parents of
Kate Ellen Robinson born 11 july 1884.

Marriage took place in Carlisle, strong possibility related to John and Martha Lightfoot, John was a Blacksmith, he and martha aged 68 and 72 in 1891 living at 6 Newtown Street Caldewgate.

John was born Biglands, Martha in Broughton.

I certainly have John and Martha with a daughter Mary. She was born about 1852 in Greysouthern and was baptised in Brigham church. Would this be your Mary Eleanor? If so, I have lots of information on her ancestry.

Hi Lynn, Yes, this is my great great grandmother on my dads side. Her marriage certificate to Edward Noble Robinson confirms her father as John, a Blacksmith.
