Hi I have the name POLLINTINE/POLLENTINE on the family tree & have found a family which i been getting info on they are William & Sarah & their children, Do you have any connection with them, my connection comes in with William's Granddaughter Eliza marrying William Barnes, while they married in Suffolk they lived in Pancras London near his brother James here is the Pollintine family

Hi there

I am related to some Pollentines who lived in London. I often come across the Pollintines of Suffolk in my research and have often wondered if the two families were linked.

I am visiting relatives for Christmas so I don't have my files with me, but I know I am descended from Richard John Pollentine, who was a landscape painter, and lived in London. He was married in St Pancras, which makes me wonder if he knew your ancestor James?

I think Richard John was born in 1860, but I will check. If you are still researching, send me an email and we can swap information!

Janice, family tradition says we are related to the Pollentines of London, notably Alfred Pollentine. I am having difficulty establishing a link and wonder if you would share your information with me. I am Jayne's uncle.

Hi, im a pollentine down in the south east/kent, and i believe my grandad Bernard Pollentine was Alfreds grandson. We have one of Alfred Pollentines paintings, as he was an artist!

Alfred Pollentine had six children, Emma, Harriet, Mildred, William, Robert, and Elsie (Beatrice). One of these must have been your grandfather's father, probably William or Robert. Alfred Pollentine was the brother of Richard John Pollentine who was my gt.gt.grandfather. The Pollentines were a remarkable family and maybe still are!

Hi I am only just getting into this tracing families thing. I have Married a Pollentine. We are living in Halifax. I dont know much about the family's ancestors. But the information I have is that Alfred 'the Artist' Pollentine is a my father in law's great, great, great uncle. Also My partner had a letter from his great Uncle from a a lawyer to state that he and his brothers were entitled to some money from a relative in Italy. But even though it was a pollentine, he was involved with the 'Pollentino' mafia. Hense to say no one proceeded to pursue the money, after hearing a story that my Partners Grandad and Uncle tried years ago and received a not so friendly visit from the 'Pollentino Mafia'.
