I have just received a copy of a birth entry and was rather disappointed to find that two pieces of information that I had expected were not transcribed onto the entry.
This relates to a registration in Corfu in 1836 that I had previously got help from the Forum to track & obtain.
The Mother's Maiden name is not given ?
The Fathers Rank & Regiment are shown but no service number.
Was I expecting too much ?
