My 3 times great grandparents were Alexander WATSON and Jean MORRISON. They were possibly married on 9th July in Neilston, Renfrewshire. According to census information Jean was born in Lanarkshire. There is conflicting information regarding her age; aged 50 in 1851, aged 60 in 1871 and aged 64 when she died in 1879. Alexander and Jean had at least 2 children;

Mathew WATSON (b1825, Houston & Killellan, Renfrewshire)
Robert WATSON (b between 1829 & 1833 in Elderslie, Johnstone, Renfrewshire). This is my direct ancestor.

Robert married in 1857 to Jane MATHIE (also known as Jean MATHIE) who was born 4th June 1826 (I believe her parents were John MATHIE and Mary ORR). Jane was previously married to David CAMERON and had children Matthew CAMERON (b c1849, d1872) and Janet CAMERON (b c1854). Robert and Jane had at least 8 children (all born in either Johnstone or Kilbarchan, Renfrewshire) ;

Alexander WATSON (b1858) m1882 Anne MAITLAND (b1861)
Robert WATSON (b c1860 d1864)
Jane WATSON (1862 d bef 1866)
Agnes WATSON (b1864 d1864)
Jane WATSON (b c1866 d1874)
Margaret WATSON (b1866 d1904) m1891 Michael McCONNACHIE
Charlotte Logan Watson (b1870 d1877)
Annie Morrison Watson (b1872). This is my direct ancestor.

The 1881 Scottish Census shows the family resident at 7 Collier Street in Johnstone, Renfrewshire, Scotland. Annie Morrison WATSON married George Crawford MALCOLMSON in 1897 in Johnstone. Annie and George had at least 3 children, one of which was Margaret MALCOLMSON (usually known as Maggie Malcolmson). Maggie was born in 1901 and is my grandmother.

I would love to hear from anyone who connects with any of the above.
