Hi there friends thanks for al her help in tracing my ancestors in Engelhart. now i am wondering if anyone knows of specialist shops where i can obtain books and more especially postcards of this area of Ontario during the early years of the 20th century i remember my grandfather showing me postcards as a child but now they have dissapeared. Have you visited the Englehart, Ontario homepage (http://www.englehart.ca/siteengine/activepage.asp?bhcp=1)?

The history of the town is covered and there are contact details so that you could perhaps whizz off an email to them for help.

Did you see the book that's for sale for Englehart's 100th Anniversary, 1908-2008? It would probably have lots of great photos in it.

For postcards, you could try contacting the historical museum, they have a gift shop.

It looks like a beautful area - I love the photos of Kap-Kig-Iwan Park!

Try Global Genealogy - www.globalgenealogy.com they have all kinds of good stuff. I would email them (Sandra or Rick - they are very friendly and helpful) and ask speicifically if they know of anything with Englehart photos or history.
