Hi, can anyone help with the family of William Devine who left Ballindine, Co. Mayo, Ireland in 1888 and started a new life in Manhattan, New York.
He was born on 16th Feb 1867 and arrived in New York in April 1888. He was naturalized on 2nd Feb 1897.
He married Nora Melvin on 4th Sep 1897 and in the 1900 census they lived at 405 West 49th Street, Manhattan.
In 1910 they lived on St. Nicholas Avenue, Manhattan ward 12.
In 1920 they lived on 118th Street, Manhattan Assembly District 11.
Devine Children
William b 1891 - We don't know who his Mother is as he was born 6 years before William snr married Nora.
Katherine b 1899
Thomas b 1900
Nora b 1902
Mary b 1905 and
John b 1911.
