Hi, everybody. I am a descendant of Sir Ralph le Palmer, who in the 12th century distinguished himself in combat against the Saracens and was knighted in the battlefield by Richard I. My connection with him is that he was an ancestor of my great-great-grandmother, Ellen Palmer Lynch. I'm positive about this.

I would love to find out where Sir Ralph is buried so I can visit the grave. Does anyone know how I can find out? Please advise. Thank you.

First you need to establish where he died - if in combat then that may be where to look. If not then I have found that in that time period my de Pype 'ancestors' were more often than not buried close to their home or to the family seat. There is no database that will give you these answers - it is a matter of some serious searching of old archives in the county where they lived.

I'm going through the same questions with my Vob Bulow ancestry, as my tree goes back a number of centuries in that line.
