Blackburn Newspapers

I want to find some infomation that would have been in a Blackburn paper. I know the local paper is called the Lancashire Telegraph but does anyone know what the paper was called before. Also is there anywhere to look it up apart from the Blackburn Library

It's a bit hard to advise you without any dates :confused: However, you might be able to find the information at the British Library's Newsplan site (http://www.bl.uk/collections/nplan.html).

Alternatively, or if you'd like further confirmation, there's a useful book on Local Newspapers 1750-1920 and where copies can be found - available from Parish Chest (http://www.parishchest.com/shop/index.php?cmd=viewproduct&cat=&id=P80399&pageOffset=2).
