American dollars to pounds sterling

I am trying to find a way to get a cheque in pounds sterling sent to various groups who require that for records or searches but am having trouble finding local resources in Utah in the US to do this. Specifically I am looking to purchase a cd of the North Wingfield, Derbyshire parish records and also to have the Berkshire Record Office do some searches for some ancestors in Newbury but am having difficulty reaching them by phone.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Canadian post offices will provide international money orders as will most banks provide international bank drafts/cheques. Hopefully the US does this as well! I ususally enclose money orders with a blank piece of paper so that the envelope is not see thru - more secure. Make sure to put return address on everything.
