Hello . can any one help me please. John Willoughby was born in the workhouse in 1762 to Elizabeth Willoughby she would have been born about 1735/1744 . she disappears after his birth so she could have left him. Robert Rand became master of the workhouse in 1735. he would have been born about 1710 (he would have to be at least 21 to get the job.) John Willoughby's son married Roberts greatgrandaughter in 1826. there are no records from the workhouse left from that time i have his will but it only mentions his wife and children in Kidlington . can any help me find these people please. sue.|banghead||help|

The IGI has a Robert Rand baptised 18 Mar 1710 in Ambrosden, Oxfordshire, parents being Robert and Jane.

However, this is member submitted, rather than directly from the parish records.

There is no baptism for your Robert at Kidlington, but there is this marriage reference from the OFHS PR transcription cd of Kidlington:

16 April 1738 Robert RAND married Ann WEBB at St Clements, Oxford by Banns
