I have previously found on the internet "Coroners Reports in the Liberty of St Etheldreda". This apparently comprises Hundreds of Carlford, Colneis, Wilford, Plomesgate. Loes and Thredling.
It covered a period between 1800 and 1900.

Now I can't find it - does anyone have any ideas as to where this can be found on line.

I have had a rootle round the interwebby but am unable to find anything online. However, the Suffolk Family History Society may be the place to offer you advice.

Sue, do you by any chance also have Freemen of the "Borough of Ipswich 1320-1996 Pt.1"?

If so, could you possibly do a lookup for me of anyone by the name of Bird/ Berde/ Byrd in Claydon around 1600?

Thanks
Tash

Hi Tash

Sorry, no I don't possess that book. You could get in contact with Ipswich Record Office, they may have it.

Oh Sue thank you!!! :)

This

1612 /BERD EDM / HOWEL PRIS / CLAYDON

Is the Edmund Bird who currently heads up my tree on the occasion of his second marriage to Priscilla.

He did have a first marriage to a lady called Margaret but this doesn't seem to appear in any of the records I've seen to date :/

The other records are all pretty much sons and daughters but what REALLY interests me is this one ...

1560 / BIRD THO / COWY ALCE/ CLAYDON

some 19 years before Edmund was born in Claydon. Might it be the elusive parents we have tried so hard to find???

Are there any other publications kicking about like Boyds or will I have to wait until I make it over to Ipswich in a month or so to find out?? lol

Once again, many thanks for looking this up for me!!

Tash

The only marriage showing pre 1612 for an Edmund to a Margaret is the following.

1608 / BIRD EDM/ DINGLE MGT/ SEDGEFORD / NORFOLK

I am afraid Boyds is far from complete and its a matter of luck if the marriage you are seeking is there.

You can see Boyds for Suffolk for free at Ipswich, but to access it on line its on the pay per view site, Origins network.

The best thing you can do is Google, its surprising what comes up, especially Google books.

Are there any other marriages you are seeking?

Anyone know where I may find a coroners report for the period 1945-1948 of Kings Lynn Norfolk. My Gr Grandfather drown and I have hit the brickwall for information.
Thanks
