can anybody tell me if this man is wearing regulation trousers in the second pic they have blanket stitching along the hem
He was supposed to have served in India in the medical corp ,I am trying to get his army records but they cannot trace him under his right name.

I don't think so. Did anyone in the British army ever wear white? I'd have expected him in khaki with shorts as the token gesture towards the heat. Even if those are regulation trousers, that doesn't look like a regulation shirt.

unless they were white coz he was in the medical corp?

thanks for your replies this photo was sent from India during the second world war, and there is large blanket stitch on the hem which is most unusual.
Was hoping to pin point which regiment he was in

Did he play cricket?
That's the only suggestion I can made.

Medical corps - would have worn normal uniform, unless on a ward.

thanks Neil I really dont know I have been trying to get his army records but they cannot find them .
I have never seen Trousers for Men with Blanket stitch hemming
