SWAIN died Bishops Stortford 1995

Am looking for any descendants of an Edgar Swain b. 21st Feb 1913 who died in 1995 at Bishops Stortford Herts. Was Edgar born in Lancashire ? If so, I am looking for entries in a family bible that was supposedly given to Edgar, if it still exists.

There is a birth registered for an Edgar Swain, 1st Quarter 1913 in Rochdale. Mother's maiden name is Griffiths. Vol 8e, page 61.

Then you need to find out the names of his parents, when & where they married, where they lived before and after marriage, etc.

Start with Edgar's birth certificate if you haven't got it already. Then try to get hold of his parents' marriage certificate. Hopefully that will give you enough information to find them on the 1901 census. The information on that will help you find their siblings and parents.

Pipsqueak, I really must apologise. I cannot believe that I wrote ancestors instead of descendants, but I did.
It is the descendants I am looking for. I have now edited my posting.
