I have Charles Le Gros on the 1861 jersey census as the chief turnkey in jersey gaol. he was born 1824 parisle of st lawrence. in 1871 I found his wife and children but not him. nor did i find him in 1851.!! I did find his daughters baptism with him clearly named correctly.....but he is a big fat mystery. I would love to know more about him, especially who his parents were and if he had any siblings, and where was he before and after 1861???? any help hugely appreciated. will be offline for a couple of days, so please dont think I am rudely ignoring any info! many thanks jane

excellent ann. think that is him. find it quite odd how many men in my family tree married women with the same names as their mothers! thank you. jane
