Alexander RAE/REA-Margaret SMITH Inverkeilor

Hi,
Looking for information on Alexander RAE(REA) who married Margaret SMITH at Inverkeilor on 17th April 1779. ( Inverkeilor OPR)
Surname spelt "REA" on official marriage record from Scotlandspeople.
LDS website shows born Inverkeilor 1759 but he is not on the Inverkeilor OPR. nor on Scotlandspeople.

Three children found on Inverkeilor OPR
Robert 31 Aug 1785
Alexander 26 Jan 1788
William 12 Nov 1790

Hi Spruso,
The entry that you found on the LDS website is a submitted entry not one taken from the Parish registers. That is why the entry cannot be found on the OPR or SP.
It looks like as he was married in Inverkeilor someone has assumed that he was born there.
As a rule the entries all in capitols with full dates are taken from the OPR's those that say abt are submitted entries.
I did a check on the LDS there are only 5 records from an Alexander Rae b 1760+/- 5 years in Angus taken from the OPR's all the others are submitted entries.
