Ah! Thank you Jan. It never occurred to me that a regimental marriage may not necessarily be recorded as other marriages are. That is something I didn't consider. Is anyone able to find out for me if there is a record under regimental marriages for James Bradley (Loyal North Lancashire Regiment based at Aldershot, Hampshire) and Mary Harrington, both from Ireland, sometime between 1903 and 1911? I would much appreciate any info.

On another matter there used to be a large framed photo of my grandfather complete with fine moustache and British army uniform. It had disappeared when I went back to England to clear out my mum's house. (Dad had died 20 years earlier and mum hated reminders of the war.)
Is there anyone who might be able to suggest a way of finding this or any other photo? I have no photos of either of my dad's parents and I know at least one existed of James in uniform. I would have thought there might have been one of their wedding too. Perhaps I am being too optimistic!!
