I don't know quite what you mean by 'families of the children above' but one obvious step is:

Births Jun 1876

HART Zalig Whitechapel 1c 359

You can get that birth certificate to find out the mother's maiden name and then search for the parents' marriage.

There is a marriage for a Daniel Hart to Hannah Elizabeth Pealing......Sept qtr 1869. in White Chapel.
This may be your lady?
I will see what else I can find out about the children up to 1901.

And if the mother's maiden name turns out to be PEALING, there is this marriage registration for a Daniel HART in the September qtr 1869 at Whitechapel reg district vol 1c, page 784 and a corresponding entry for a Hannah Elizabeth PEALING.

There is also a marriage registration in the June qtr 1902 at London City reg district, vol 1c page 73 of a Zalig HART to either a Margaret JONES or an Edith WHEATLEY and one of a Marks Hyman HART in the December qtr 1905 at London City reg district, vol 1c, page 81 to an Annie HART. They sound likely candidates for your 2 chaps.

In 1891 the family is in Spitalfields.

Daniel 40 Head Fishmonger
Elizabeth 39 (born Romford Essex)
Elizabeth 16
Harvey 3
Joseph 2
Julia 9
Morris 12 (Transcribed as Motes)
Rachael 7
Zalig 14
RG12/274/30 Page 8

So there were more children than you first thought!

1901 St Botolph

Daniel 41 Head Fishmonger
Elizabeth 47
Harry 12
Joseph 11
Julia 19
Morris 22 Fishmonger
Ray 19 (Not sure who this is must be Rachael)
Zalig 24 Fishmonger
Anne Smith Servant
RG 13/262/Folio24 Page 39

there a lot of marriages for an Elizabeth Hart in the London area 1891- 1901. Someone else with a better knowledge of London may know which would be the appropriate area for Spitalfields and St Botolph. I'm a Suffolk country girl!

I'm not sure what the relationship is but as Zalig is a Fishmonger in Whitechapel I would imagine he is part of the family. I cannot find another Daniel Hart in 1861 so there is an error somewhere as he is also the son of Solomon in 1851 ???

I have come across HARTSHORN (married into my family) later converted to HART. Perhaps something similar here - might be worth looking for variations.

To all the listers who have pitched in so far and are helping me.

To Nanna, Motley, Marj, Davran, Dargie, Janbooth, and Peter Goodey.
Thank you very much for your time and efforts. I'm sure there are many more things in this world that you could be spending your time on than some request of mine. That said don't stop the good work, you are greatly appreciated.
I will study each offering and see if they fit. The family were fishmongers of course not all, but it seems to be a familiar trade among them.

Best wishes to you and yours, Ray [Wet southern Australia]
